A breast cancer stroll turned into a terrifying ordeal for a female who was remaining clinging to a lifted railroad bridge over Fort Lauderdale's New River.
It wasn't immediately obvious why the pink-clad woman, who has been identified only as a 55-yr-old from Dania Seashore, was striving to cross the railroad bridge, which is closed to pedestrians and wasn't aspect of the route for the Producing Strides Versus Breast Cancer 5K.
Photographs of her clinging to the span soon after it rose to an upright situation flooded social media. Onlookers informed Local10 the girl remained calm as she held on 22 ft in the air for about 20 minutes right until firefighters were being capable to rescue her with a ladder.
Witness Philip Glazebrook explained the bridge provides a loud sign before it rises in excess of the river.
“This bridge is controlled from Tallahassee. There is not a bridge minder below any more,” he told NBC6. “So she’s trapped on the bridge and she’s heading up. The future matter is, she’s trapped, straddled like Jesus Christ."
