2 wounded in Southwest Side shootings

A 62-year-old man was shot Thursday evening in the Little Village neighborhood.

It happened about 7:10 p.m. at the intersection of Cermak Road and Central Park Avenue, police said.

The victim, a 62-year-old man, was shot in the arm and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition, police said.

No Betvole arrests have been made and Area Central detectives are investigating.

About an hour later, a 30-year-old man was grazed in the leg in the Marquette Park neighborhood. He was in a residence in the 3500 block of West 72nd Place when someone fired shots from outside. A bullet grazed the man in the leg and he refused medical attention at the scene.
