2 Chainz Kicks Off Tour in Tricked Out Pink Wheelchair
Atlanta rapper 2 Chainz will be hitting the stage in a wheelchair instead of canceling his tour. The rapper broke his leg shortly before his tour kicked off, but he refused to let his fans down.

"So I broke my leg 11 days ago, and had surgery 10 days ago … when I woke up from sedation the doctor told me "well looks like your gonna have to cancel your tour " so I told him maybe it means God wants me to use my mind and be creative!" the rapper wrote on Instagram.

The rapper said after his morphine and pain meds wore off, he called management to ask for a pink wheelchair.

The start date of the tour had been pushed back due to his injury, which he said happened at his daughter's birthday party.

2 Chainz kicked off his Pretty Girls Like Trap Music Tour in Tucson, Arizona. The rapper will now head over to the West Coast, New York and Chicago. The tour will conclude at the end of December.

2 Chainz's custom wheelchair came from Seanco Custom Wheelchairs, TMZ reports. Sean Maheny, the rapper's producer, said his team got his tricked-out wheelchair in less than a week. While no one's talking price, rumor has it that the chair set him back about $10,000.

The rapper's wheelchair features 26" wheels and 144 gold spokes with chain links that harness the wheels. 2 Chainz's "TRAP" logo is featured on the back of the chair.

The Atlanta rapper will perform most of the shows on his tour in the wheelchair.

Fan videos are circulating social media outlets which show the rapper performing in his wheelchair with this leg propped up. While 2 Chainz is still unable to walk, he was able to wheel his chair around the stage to show the audience some love.

The artist was rolled around the stage by a dancer.

Young Dolph, an up-and-coming hip hop artist, opened up for 2 Chainz in support of his latest album "Bulletproof." The artist played a number of tracks from his album, but snuck in a few covers, too, including "Walked In" from Bankroll Fresh.

2 Chainz isn't the first artist to perform on stage in a wheelchair. Dave Grohl from the Foo Fighters toured while sitting on a huge metal throne.

Lady Gaga also performed on stage in a wheelchair, although her use of a chair was strictly for show – she was not injured. Gaga faced serious backlash from disability advocate groups after her performance, which took place in Australia.

After going offstage for a costume change, Gaga returned in a wheelchair wearing a mermaid tail made of PVC. She performed her song "You and I" while in the chair, despite being able-bodied. Bette Midler wore a similar costume when performing as Delores Delago in 1978.

Gaga also used a wheelchair as a prop in the music video for her hit single "Paparazzi." Gaga was seen being pushed in a wheelchair and wearing a neck brace after her lover pushed her off a balcony.
