Father John Misty to play Chicago Theatre in May

Father John Misty will play the Chicago Theatre May 15 in support of his upcoming album "Pure Comedy," out April 7 on Sub Pop. 

The album's announcement came January 23, accompanied by Misty's 25-minute short, "Pure Comedy: The Film" along with the titular lead single.

Misty, also known as Josh Tillman, is also set to appear on "Saturday Night Live" March 4 as the show's musical guest alongside Oscar-winning actress Octavia Spencer.

Tickets will cost around $29.50-$49.50 and go on sale at noon Friday through Ticketmaster and the Chicago Theatre box office.
