Found dead a British politician investigated for the sexual abuse scandal
A former member of the autonomous government of Wales, the labourer Carl Sargeant, who had just been expelled from the party and subjected to an internal investigation by accusations about his personal behavior, has been found dead in his house at 49 years. The police are not treating his death as a suspect. According to the BBC and other British media, he would have taken his own life. Sargeant, married and father of two children, had been dismissed on Friday November 3 of his office-equivalent to a sub-department in a Spanish autonomous community-in front of the Department of Communities and Children in the autonomous government of Wales. He was also suspended from militancy in the Labour Party. The dismissal occurred after an internal investigation of the party was opened following allegations which, according to the Welsh chief Minister, Carwyn Jones, were related to various incidents with women. Sargeant didn't admit the accusations and promised to clear his name. The news comes in the midst of the sexual abuse scandal that has shaken British politics in the last few days. "I'm deeply shocked by the terrible news about Carl Sargeant." "My thoughts and empathy are with his family and friends," tweeted the labor leader, Jeremy Corbyn, this Tuesday. The agenda of the Welsh Assembly has been pendanted on this Tuesday as a sign of mourning. I'm deeply shocked to hear of the terrible news about Carl Sargeant. My thoughts and profound sympathy are with his family and friends. — Jeremy Corbyn (@jeremycorbyn) November 7, 2017
