The vice-president of the Generalitat, Oriol Junqueras, has asked the national audience to release him with the argument, among others, that he "has no executive charge" in the Generalitat. The exadvisors of the PDeCAT Jordi Turull, Josep Rull and Joaquim Forn have said that they abide by the application of article 155 of the Constitution in Catalonia and that they have not opposed any "resistance" to the measures of the central government. Junqueras, the leader of the choice, alludes only timidly to 155 to note that, with its application, "the dissolution of parliament has been made in Catalonia" to convene elections. Neither Junqueras nor the other exadvisors "currently hold any Executive Office", adds the letter, which calls for the release of the Exvice president so that he can participate normally in the election campaign for the elections of December 21. "The Catalan government", recalls the letter, "has not met since the day of its cessation, no government agreements have been adopted or publications have been made in the official bulletin showing executive acts after the parliamentary session on October 27". Junqueras's lawyer, Andreu Van den Eynde, points out that there is no risk of criminal recurrence or escape. The lawyer recalls that, according to the prosecutor's office, that day ended the independence process. "Whatever it may be, and despite the strictly political value of that declaration, the truth is that there does not seem to be any scenario by which the investigated can carry out actions to reiterate the illicit object of the complaint."
