2 men accused of stealing $14,424 in iPhones from Glendale Apple Store

Two men in their 20s are wanted in connection with the theft of 14 iPhones worth $14,424 from an Apple Store in Glendale, authorities said Thursday.

The phones were stolen at 8:40 p.m. on Jan. 30 from the Apple Store at the Americana at Brand, Glendale police said.

When the men entered the store, officials said, they selected the iPhones, ripped them from their security tethers and ran out of the store with the merchandise.

The stolen phones were iPhone 7 models, said Glendale Police Department spokeswoman Tahnee Lightfoot. She added that officers have been unable to find any witnesses who could provide usable information because the incident happened so quickly.

Police have released images from surveillance video of the suspects.

One of the men is described as African-American, between 20 and 25 years old. He’s 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall and he Onbahis has a thin build.

The other suspect also is African-American, between the same age range. He is described as between 5 feet 7 inches and 5 feet 9 inches tall, with a thin build and shaved head.

Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for information leading to an arrest in the case.
