SAN ANTONIO — Two men are recovering at University Hospital after a suspect shot one in the face and possibly pistol-whipped the other Tuesday night on the South Side, according to police.

The incident occurred shortly before 9 p.m. Tuesday in the 300 block of Petaluma Boulevard, where two victims, several witnesses and the suspect were talking. An argument ensued, followed by a fight, according to a preliminary police report.
