He was at a festival with two friends on Friday. But around 9 p.m. the young men lost sight of each other. Since then there has been no trace of 25-year-old Tobias Dreiseitel from Moosinning in Bavaria. Extensive searches have so far been unsuccessful.
Tobias attended the Brass Wiesn Festival on August 5th at Echinger See in the district of Freising. There he is said to have bought a beer at the beer tent around 10:50 p.m. According to the police, this could be determined using a read electronic payment system.
Because of a storm, the site was cleared about ten minutes later, and the friends lost sight of each other. "The missing person's mobile phone was no longer accessible before this point in time and is still switched off or has no power supply," said a police spokesman on Monday. The police also checked a possible automated location history of the mobile phone via cloud storage, but without any further findings.
Most recently, the young man is said to have been "seen heavily intoxicated at the entrance to the campsite," according to a Facebook call. Accordingly, he was injured and had abrasions on his arms. It is unclear how serious the injuries were, they said.
The police and rescue organizations searched for the missing person all weekend with helicopters and drones with thermal imaging cameras and sniffer dogs from the Bavarian Red Cross. The officials are also investigating on and around the festival site. So far there have been individual indications from people who want to have seen Tobias during the festival visit on Friday and Saturday. "The police are following these tips, but so far they have not revealed anything about the whereabouts of the missing person," said a police spokesman. The relatives would be cared for by a crisis intervention team, it is said.
