Alert for the allergic to peanut by the undeliated presence of this product in a chocolate bars

The Spanish Food Safety and Nutrition Agency (AESAN) has launched a notification of alert relative to the presence of peanut not included in the labeling of Chocolate Vantantic Schakaberry barrites. It is an alert received through the European Food Alert Network (RASFF) and originally notified by the Sanitary Authorities of Germany.

The name of the product is Vantantic Schakaberry and the trademark, VantanTic Foods. The notice affects the following lots (in parentheses, with expiration date): Lot I39123471 (16.09.2022), Lot I38423471 (16.09.2022) and Lot J40123491 (01.10.2022

According to AESAN, the product has been distributed to the Autonomous Communities of Catalonia, Galicia and Madrid. As a precautionary measure, people are recommended to peanuts, who could have the aforementioned product in their homes, which refrain from consuming it. In the same way, it is clarified that the consumption of this product does not involve any risk for the rest of the population.

The Spanish Food Safety Agency launched another notice on Wednesday due to the presence of not stated almond in the labeling of waffles that have been distributed in Spain in bags of 'Boer Taste Vanilla' by trademarks. White spike, Rosita and Beatriz. The warning affects any batch that does not specify "can contain trace of nuts".

As in the previous case, people who have products affected by said alert are recommended, refrain from consuming them and return them to the point of purchase.
