The balance of the accident registered in a Siberian mine, in Russia, this Friday amounted to 52 dead, the Russian press agencies indicated, citing a source of rescue services.

"According to preliminary information, nobody has survived in the mine. 52 people have died," said the source, cited by the official TASS agency.

Ria Novosti E Interfax agencies also spread that statement, specifying that among the dead there were 46 miners and 6 rescuers.

The initial balance of the authorities registered 14 dead, including 11 miners and three members of the rescue teams, as well as 35 miners and three missing rescuers.

The accident occurred at 01H35 GMT on Thursday at the Listvyazhnaya mine in the city of Gramoteino, in the Siberian region of Kemerovo, which has many coal mines.

The search operations, which lasted all morning, were suspended in the afternoon for explosion risks.
