Banco Santander will have to compensate with 68 million to Orcel for his formation frustrated as CEO

Banco Santander will have to compensate with 68 million euros to the Italian banker Andrea Orcel for his false signing as a delegated director at the end of 2018.

The judge estimates the lawsuit filed by Orcel after knowing that the Bank renounced his recruitment just four months after announcing his appointment before the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV).

The sentence supposes the defeat of the president of the Financial Group and then close friend of Orcel, Ana Botín, who had defended during the trial that a formal contract was never added and that the Financiero had not complied with part of the commitments agreed with the entity .
