Budget 2022: The 'Bono-Rent' and rehabilitation plans stay with most European housing funds

The 'Bono-Housing' presented by surprise a few days ago by the Government President, Pedro Sánchez, and the Rehabilitation Projects of Real Estate will be the main beneficiaries of the Budget Party aimed at the Government for his housing policy.

The endowment included in the PGE of 2022 amounts to 806 million euros (compared to 602 million from the previous year), according to the draft budgets delivered this Wednesday by the Minister of Finance, María Jesús Jesús Montero, in the Congress of the Members. This endowment does not take into account the MRR (Recovery and Resilience Mechanism) of the EU, which will allow financing for an amount of 2,489 million euros, which raises 3,295 million the total amount destined for housing policy.

According to the White Book of Budgets, the credits intended for access to housing and building promotion are increased by 1,042 million euros, highlighting the financing provided by the MRR for housing construction programs for social rent in energy efficient buildings ( 500 million euros), for sustainable and digital rehabilitation of public buildings (equipped with 600 million euros) or for economic and social recovery in residential environments (1,389 million euros).

The project also advances some of the main lines of the State Plan of Housing 2022-2025, which the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda is finalizing and will focus on three priorities: priority attention to the most vulnerable, favor access to A dignified house for collectives of fewer resources and the promotion of the affordable housing park, with special attention to public-private collaboration formulas

Regarding the young Rent Bonus, the PGE project does not advance many more details of those who already announced Pedro Sánchez. The accounts allocate 200 million euros to this item, to favor "the access of young people to a dignified housing in a rental regime".

The Bonus will consist of the payment of a monthly amount of 250 euros per month for two years to young people between 18 and 35 years, who accredit work income, for rent payment.

For its part, the State Plan for Housing Access 2022-2025 will offer aid based on the circumstances of young people or the scope in which they live that could be modulated by CCAA. "The subjective scope of the plan is determined by the scope of the set of programs and measures aimed at favoring access to housing to young people, through different formulas, tenure regimes, types of promotion and building typologies", collects the text.
