The DANA who whips these days the East of the iberian Peninsula has claimed two dead in Caudete, Albacete. It's a marriage of 70 years who has died when their vehicle has been swept away by the rain. We recall below some tips to avoid that a vehicle is washed away by rain or, in case of being trapped under water, able to get out.

In the first place, if it is found with a mass of water on the road, it is best to avoid crossing it. Otherwise, "the risk of being sucked in and dying is very likely," says Miguel Tomé, expert in natural risk and Civil Protection, in the magazine of the DGT. "The only thing you can do is to stay aware of the weather forecast, avoid driving and doing so, use main roads and avoid the local roads and paths, which often intersect with streams usually dry."
