A woman has been arrested in Portugal for being suspected of killing her two twin children last Saturday after giving birth, without medical assistance, at her home of the town of Cascais, about 30 kilometers from Lisbon.
The Judicial Police has reported this Friday in the statement that women, 33 years old and foreign, without specifying their nationality, was arrested by "strong signs of the practice of two crimes of qualified homicide and a crime of corpse profanation".
Newborn, a boy and a girl, died after birth at dawn last Saturday inside a residence of Cascais. The body of one of them was found inside a garbage bag and the other on a bed, local media reported.
The woman was then conducted to a hospital, where she was attended with a clinical picture of depression. After the arrest of it, she will have to respond to a judicial interrogation so that the corresponding measures are applied.
