After the publication of the four novels that comprise the saga of Two Friends (the latest, "The lost girl", in 2014), Ferrante collected in "Incidental Inventions" columns that he had written in 2018 for "The Guardian" about "life, love and the female experience".
The mysterious identity of its author was added to the literary phenomenon about the friendship and rivalry between two women who have grown up in a poor neighbourhood of Naples; his anonymity , however, ended in 2016 when an Italian newspaper revealed who was, supposedly, behind that pseudonym: the translator Anita Raja.Updated Date: 12 September 2019, 10:01
