Frankfurt Skyliners: The New kid from the black forest

The Fraport Skyliners have been reinforced with Rasheed Moore for the upcoming season in the Basketball Bundesliga. The 25-year-old winger switches from Pro A-club Schwenningen a game class, later to Frankfurt, where the American has received a contract for the round 2020/2021. The agreement includes for the Hesse an Option to extend the contract with Moore for another season. "Rasheed is a special type of player. His commitment is for both sides a special opportunity,“ says Skyliners head coach Sebastian Gleim. "We are very much looking forward to his development in the Bundesliga."

Behind Moore a kind of career path lies in Europe. After four years at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania in the NCAA II 1.98 metres wide professional wanted to go to Greece with Aris Thessaloniki. Because of this smashed first-League commitment, but he landed in the black forest – in the Regionalliga in Schwenningen. In his three years there, Moore, rose and his team twice. In every season of the physically strong Americans, top scorer was last in the second League with 15.6 points per game. His three points ratio of the two wing positions and versatile players increased from 31.4 percent in the Regionalliga to 39.3 in the Pro A.

"My versatility and my ability to defend multiple positions, I would like to contribute for the team success," says the new arrival. It could have been Frankfurt's apparently already at the final tournament in Munich well in your series to introduce. The Schwenninger had reported that a Premier League club, Moore wanted to retain. This now has good role models: The the Pro A come Jaleen Smith has developed, for example in the Bundesliga in Ludwigsburg, very good. The Coming of Moore and Frankfurt, in turn, means that Shaquille Hines will no longer play for the state of Hesse. "We had Shaq the Option to extend with him, we should play European. This is not the case,“ says Gleim. "We could not agree on a new contract situation."
