IROBOT presents a vacuum cleaner robot that dodges the cows of your pet

Irrobot has presented this new generation of vacuum cleaner robots at this morning. The first model in giving the jump of the I to J is the 7j + Roomba, a high-end vacuum robot that includes improvements in the recognition of objects and tracing paths to be followed for cleaning.

Hand, Irrobot has updated the app that gives service to its vacuum robots and establishes the routines and maps of the house where they clean. IROBOT GENIUS 3.0 promises to be compatible with all vacuum models that have WiFi and higher levels of customization of daily and weekly cleaning tasks.

According to those responsible for the company, one of the objectives with this new model and the new application is that users can get off the idea that you have to go behind the Roomba cleaning or that it is necessary to reinforce your work once a time week because they do not clean the floors well enough.

The J7 + Roomba stands out for the use of a front camera (protected with Gorilla Glass to avoid scares if hit with something) that identifies objects so they are: a cable, a sock, a cat poop ... and avoids them and Suffer and notify so that there are no surprises if you have left the vacuum cleaner alone at home cleaning the ground. If you find an obstacle, you will make a photo and notify you through the app for the owner to know what is happening.

As it is used, the J7 + ROOMBA promises to adapt better to the rhythms of the house where it coexists and propose the hours and cleaning plans. And if you have a robot mop of the same brand, you can 'talk' with him to work one after the other without grinding.

Another improvement resides in its design, much more elegant and designed to fit with the decoration of any home. Its base, which in turn serves as a garbage cube for the crap collected by the ground, has a more flat design than previous models, making it easier to go unnoticed in the living room or hallway. You still use bags to store dirt, but the base now includes a tank to be able to store the bags that are not in use. Personally, I always forgot where I had kept mine in the I3 + model and I appreciate this detail.

The J7 + Roomba has a recommended sale price of 999 euros. It is not cheap or intended to be, because Irobot has always wanted to differentiate itself through the technology included and the materials used from other brands with cheaper models (although they have other cheaper too). The Roombau J7, the similar model but without deposit to store dirt, costs 749 euros.

As for the new app, Irrobot Genius 3.0, we must highlight new functions and automatisms that will reach this and other previous models of the brand. For example, the option to automatically set a cleaning when the Roomba detects that you have left home using the geolocation of the mobile phone.

It is also possible to configure a silent scroll and cleaning in a specific area, in case you are working at home and you do not want noise in the middle of a meeting. And if you are in a hurry, it is also possible to receive an estimate of how long the robot would take to clean a stay or the entire house.

Finally, given the new analysis tools and improvements in vacuum robots, these can make recommendations when cleaning the house or which room is usually dirty to establish more effective routines.
