Ione Belarra sends the rest of the Government the law that raises maternity and paternity permits to approve it in January

The Minister of Social Rights and Agenda 2030, Ione Belarra, has announced that next week will bring the text of the Family Diversity Act to its approval in the Council of Ministers at the beginning of 2022, in January. She has advanced that the law will include a universal income for upbringing up to 125 euros and will consider as many families to monomarental and single-parent.

Another measure will be the expansion of paternity and maternity permits until 24 weeks for each parent, that is, six months, which is the period that the World Health Organization (WHO) for exclusive breastfeeding, has detailed.

"The works are very advanced and next week we are going to circulate all the complete legislative text that includes these measures, in our opinion, essential so that the Law of Families is up to: Income Fostern, Permissions Six months and recognition of monomarental families, "Belarra said.

This has said the Minister this Friday during his speech on a day on the future Family Law, organized by the Confederal Parliamentary Group of the United Can-in Common Podim-Galicia, in the Congress of Deputies.
