Italian filmmaker dies Lina Wertmüller at 93 years

The Italian director Lina Wertmüller, reference of the cinema of the twentieth century in her country and one of the pioneers behind the chambers, has died on Thursday at 93 years of age, according to local media.

Wertmüller (Rome, 1928) had received the Honorary Oscar Award in 2019 for his career, which record tens of titles as 'Mimi Metallurgico Ferito Nell'onore' (1972), all marked by a great sensitivity, sarcasm and long titles and striking

The filmmaker, one of the referents of the second half of the twentieth century, was the first woman to choose the Óscar to the best direction in the history of the prize, in 1977 by 'Pastualino Settebellezze'.
