La Salle has reported this Saturday that he has received in recent hours, coinciding with the public demonstrations of the writer Alejandro Palomas, three new denunciations for sexual abuse that would have occurred in the 70-80s. Two of them would have been registered in Galicia and the third, in Castile and León.
In a statement, the salle requires that the cases would have prescribed from a legal point of view and would affect three religious of the congregation.
According to transfers, the institution has immediately launched its internal procedure, in line with the steps given in relation to the case of the writer and other previous ones in recent years. La Salle will begin to gather information and interview members from the educational community at that time.
La Salle claims that "complies with its double legal and moral commitment" with the victims of these abuse, in line with the canonical procedure promoted by Pope Francis last year, "while maintaining respect for the presumption of innocence recognized in The legislation, but showing clearly and expresses his request for forgiveness to victims for the pain suffered. The Salle tells that it currently has an advanced protocol of 'zero tolerance' (known as 'protocol in situations of risk due to abuse or abuse of minors') and an 'ethics code'.
