María Luisa Domínguez González will take over Isabel Pardo de Vera at Front of Adif and will be the new president of the railway infrastructure manager after the arrival of Raquel Sánchez as a new Minister of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda.

The appointment of Domínguez González will go to the Council of Ministers next Tuesday, thus closing one of the unknowns that still remained to be clear after the reordering of the charges he has carried out Sánchez in recent days.

This reordering has meant the appointment of Pardo de Vera as Secretary of State of Transport and goes on the line of giving a more feminine approach to the power structures of the Ministry, one of the objectives of Raquel Sánchez at his new stage.

Pardo de Vera in turn replaces Pedro Saura, until a few days ago of José Luis Ábalos in the ministry and who will now endorse in the presidency of Paradores. The other great change that has occurred this week has to do with Koldo García, one of the nearest advisors and collaborators of Ábalos, whose dismissal as a renfe merchandise counselor has been confirmed these days.

María Luisa Domínguez González has ahead, among other challenges, the task of completing the liberalization of the railway sector in Spain or advanced in the development of projects such as the Mediterranean corridor.

For this, it has a long experience. The Future President of Adif is an engineer of roads, channels and ports from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, a degree in Law from the National University of Distance Education and has a master's degree in the international strategic direction by the UPM.

After working for five years in an engineering company, it was incorporated into the Project Unit of Projects of the Railway Infrastructure Manager (GIF) in January 1998, first as a technician and since 2001 as Chief Area, coordinating the projects of high-speed lines Madrid-Levante and variant of haystacks.

In 2005, after the creation of ADIF, it becomes a director of high-speed projects, and since 2007, director of studies and projects of the General Directorate of great high-speed projects, responsible for previous studies and infrastructure projects and Architecture of the new high-speed lines developed in Spain.

Since 2018, it is General Director of Strategic Planning and Projects in Adif, responsible for the company's strategy, the functional planning of the network, the infrastructure and architecture projects of the entire network, and international relations. Likewise, from the area of it, the implementation of the BIM methodology is being developed in the Company.
