In 2017 Pauley Perrette, the actress who gave Abby Sciuto and one of the three original interpreters next to Harmon and David McCallum, left the drama at the end at the fifteenth season. The withdrawal of it on that occasion was wrapped in a great controversy when reporting having suffered "multiple physical abuse" during the filming of the series.

The interpreter, 49, did not identify the person who supposedly carried out those abuse against her and the chain did not give more details about the investigation.
