More than 70% of the hairdressing salons forced to increase their prices

Since their re-opening it's been almost a month, 65,000 hair salons of France, not happening. According to a survey conducted by the start-up LeCiseau.fr, specialized in online booking, 100% of partner lounges thereof (2500 salons worldwide in more than 200 French cities) have boosted their hours and days of opening to meet the demand.

Thus, two-thirds of hairdressers interviewed are full, whereas usually the fill rate is rather located around 60%. In fact, " 56% of professionals are forced to take on fewer clients than before confinement ". As a result, these latter undergo a reduction in the average number of bookings of the order of " 4 customers or less, per day for 42% of the respondents ". A number that can be up to 7 clients in less than a day for some shows (12%).

The health protocol will affect the price of the cup

The distance of one meter must be observed between each customer has a restricted no surprise that the reception capacity of the hairdressers French. A shortfall, to which is added additional expenditures related to the sanitary rules (wearing a mask, can be disinfected at each passage). For 41% of the respondents, the cost of the health protocol is estimated at between 100 euros and 200 euros per month, and between € 50 and € 100 euros for 19% of them.

To compensate for these expenses, 72% of hairdressers surveyed have been forced to raise their rates : "between 1 and 4 euro per delivery for 84% of the respondents, and from 4 to 6 euros for 16%," says LeCiseau.fr.

The price increase does not seem to discourage customers, since reservations are always more numerous. Thus 36% of the salons surveyed by LeCiseau.fr are equipped with digital tools to manage the flow of customers and the management of appointments. The digitization of these appointments and the extension of opening hours, therefore, allowed to limit the waiting time. This one is from a few days to a week in 91 % of the salons surveyed, a reasonable period of time, according to the platform of reservations.
