The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, will not appear in Congress to explain the evacuation operation carried out by Spain in Afghanistan. In the Moncloa they consider that the presence of Sánchez in Congress is not a priority and that, in addition, the presence of the Chief of the Executive would serve to give oxygen to the opposition they consider, is deactivated before the international asset that the government has received by His action regarding the Afghan crisis.

"We believe that the most opportune thing is that the ministers can appear next week," has been Isabel Rodríguez, spokesman for the Executive and Minister of Territorial Policy, after the celebration of the first Council of Ministers after the summer break. She considers the government that in September there will be activity in Congress and that, therefore, Sánchez may be asked by the opposition in the control sessions.
