The monthly payroll of contributory social security benefits amounted to 10,217.15 million euros to August 1, 3.16% more than the same month last year. With this increase, a new historical record is marked, which slightly exceeds the disbursement that was made in last month, which was 10,202,294 million.

According to the data of the Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security and migration broadcast this Friday, more than two thirds of the payroll, 7,356.29 million euros, were allocated to the subscription of retirement pensions. This amount experienced a growth of 3.72% in the last twelve months. 1,745.59 million euros were devoted to pensions, 2.06% more than in August 2020.

The payroll of permanent disability benefits, on the other hand, stood at 945.56 million euros (1.00%), while Orphanading supposed 143.17 million (2.41%) and benefits in favor of relatives, 26.53 million euros (4.38%).

Of the 9,862,327 contributory pensions paid as of August 1 (0.87% more than in July 2020), 6,170,027 are retirement, 2,354,616 of widowhood, 950,996 permanent disability, 342,746 of Orfandad and 43,942 in Favor of family members.

The average pension of the system was 1,035.98 euros per month. This average amount, which includes the different kinds of pension (retirement, permanent disability, widowhood, orphanage and in favor of family members), increased by 2.27% in the last year.

The average retirement pension of the system, on the other hand, stood at 1,192.26 euros, 2.40% more than a year earlier. Specifically, at the High Retirement pensions of July, last date available, the average pension amounted to 1,377.59 euros. The new retirements caused by said month in the general regime rose at 1,490.22 euros / month. On the other hand, the average pension of widowhood was 741.35 euros per month (1.97%).

By regimes, the average retirement pension from the general regime was 1,337.71 euros per month, while the lowest registered the autonomous scheme, of 794.19 euros / month. In coal mining, the monthly retirement average stood at 2,332.15 euros and 1,325.78 euros in the sea regime.

According to the data of the National Social Security Institute (INSS), if the annual accumulated number is considered, from January to July 2021, have caused high 357,566 new pensions. During the same period, from January to August 2021, they have caused low 292,967 pensions.

On July 1, 44,501 pensions perceive the complement by gender gap, whose objective is, precisely, gradually correct the difference between the average pension that a man receives (this month, 1,257,15 euros) and the one that receives A woman (833.40 euros).

The average monthly amount of this supplement in the pension of 61.18 euros. Of the 44,501 pensions complemented, 18.54% corresponds to pensioners with a child (8,252); 47.49%, with two children (21,135), 21.21%, with three (9,440) and with four children, 12.75% (5,674).

This complement, in force since February, consists of a fixed amount of 27 euros per month by child, which is applied from the first child and up to a maximum of four. It is requested at the same time that the pension is requested.

The monthly payroll of pensions of passive classes amounted to 1,220,73 million euros in July 2021, last available data. This amount represents 5.23% more than a year ago. The number of pensions in force of this type amounts to 670,921, which represents 18,016 pensions rather than in the same month of the previous year (2.76% of annual variation)
