The Government advances in the PGE the punishment to the large owners: it reduces the bonus at 40% to rent companies

The agreement for the future housing law between PSOE and United can include the "withdrawal of tax privileges" for large owners. He was one of the points that transcended the covenant, although neither a government partner nor the other specified what it was about. Until today.

As has advanced the Minister of Finance, María Jesús Montero, the budgetary project of 2022 includes a reduction in fiscal bonus in corporate tax for companies that are dedicated to the lease of housing, from 85% to 40%.

According to Montero, this measure was already announced "when we made public the agreement (of the housing law) and that is already ahead of this budget".

It is one more of the demands that we can have put on the table in recent months to support next year's accounts and today this requirement has been specified, as well as the demand that has to do with societies tax.

The PGE of 2022 incorporate a minimum rate of 15% for companies tax for companies with a turnover greater than 20 million euros or constituted consolidated groups, so that "due to deductions" can not be lowered from that figure.

This minimum rate will be 18% for credit and oil entities - whose nominal type is 30% instead of 25% of the rest of companies - and 10% for new-created societies, whose nominal type is 15%.

The impact of the establishment of a minimum rate will be seen in 2023, which will be when the 2022 exercise is settled, for about 400 million euros, while in 2022 it will add less than 50 million, explained Montero in statements collected by the EFE agency.

This measure is an "adjustment", has insisted the minister, which has put the focus on a "much more ambitious" reform in the future that will focus on "how and in what way tax credits are consolidated."

Montero has encrypted at 2,000 million euros the "savings" for families, autonomous and companies by the suspension of the electricity production tax, the reduction of the VAT of light and the special tax of electricity, with the consequent collection loss.

Specifically, given that the special electricity tax "goes entirely to the autonomous coffers," that loss of income will have to be compensated.

Montero has also pointed out that as of next year, it will fall from 2,000 to 1,500 euros the maximum annual contribution deductible in individual pension plans while climbing 8,500 in collectives or business.

The Minister has added that in the modalities of company plans in which worker contributions are allowed these may be deducted above 1,500 euros as long as the contribution of the company is superior and with that global limit of 10,000 euros. She has advanced that a specific epigraph will be created in the tax on economic activities for the activity of journalists.

He has also insisted on the government's commitment to the fight against fraud advancing a record budget for the tax agency of 1,700 million.
