King Felipe VI has opened the South Summit, who celebrates his ninth edition on the ship, in Madrid, to bring together entrepreneurs and innovators. Don Felipe has influenced the "high dynamism" that characterizes the model of entrepreneurship of Spain, something that he, he assured him, should be a source of pride. In addition, he highlighted the creation of new companies.
At the event, which serves as an exit pistol for the meeting, which will be held between October 5 and 7, the Minister of Industry, Tourism and Commerce, Kings Maroto, as well as the mayor of Madrid, José, have also been present. "2020 was a year in which, without doubt, virtual relationships and telecommunications were promoted throughout the world and in many sectors of activity," the king recalled. The event, in fact, was born almost a decade ago in response to a "serious crisis" to enhance the entrepreneurship "and turn it into the driving force of the economy and showcase of talent, innovation and business opportunities in our country", The king explained. "We can say with pride that Spain has a model of entrepreneurship characterized by a high dynamism," Don Felipe said. Thus, in addition to the creation of new companies, he stressed that "our country has two large centers of technological innovation - MADRID and Barcelona - between the first six per number of Startups in Europe." However, he considers that "the really interesting thing is to observe the dynamism of all existing technological poles distributed by the Spanish geography, specialized in concrete areas," such as Málaga, Bilbao, Valencia, Galicia or Canarias.
The king also celebrated that this innovation is "undoubtedly" capturing "international attention". In this sense, he recalled that "almost every week, very interesting projects of foreign companies that opt for Spain are known to carry out innovation activities, invest in Spanish startups, install technological development centers, build data centers or data centers or hire Developers ".
