The Provincial Prosecutor's Office has opened on Monday an investigation by the events that occurred in the demonstration held last Saturday in the Barrio de Chueca (Madrid) where a group of people profimated slogans such as "out Sysors of Madrid" or "Outside Maricas of our neighborhoods ".
The Public Ministry has proceeded to initiate diligences of criminal investigation and has requested reports to the Provincial Information Brigade and the Government's delegation to collect information about whether it happened during the March convened by the Safe Madrid Group to protest against "Agendas 2030 / 2050 "It is constitutive of a crime of hate.
The prosecution moves a file after last Saturday took place in the cited neighborhood of Madrid, center of pride parties in the capital, a neonazi demonstration against the LGTBI collective.
Although the Prosecutor's Office of Madrid has decided to open the aforementioned investigation, the events events last Saturday in Chueca have also been denounced by the Ministry of Equality and the Ministry of Social Rights and Agenda 2030 before the Prosecutor's Office of Crime of Hate and Discrimination.
In the complaint, the Government argues that they are facts that "we put in their knowledge in compliance with the duty provided for in Article 262 of the Law on Criminal Procedure, in case they were constitutive delegation of hatred or discrimination in Article 510.1 of the Criminal Code, Considering concurrent criminal type requirements according to the interpretation contained in Circular 7/2019, of the General Prosecutor's Office, and also estimating concurrent aggravating circumstances of paragraphs 3 and 4 for being called and disseminated through the Internet resulting accessible to a high number of people; and because the facts, for their circumstances of time and place, suitable to alter public peace and create a serious feeling of insecurity or fear among the members of the target groups of hate messages and discrimination".
From the executive they emphasize that it is an "institutional, political and ethical obligation to condemn what happened in Chueca, since it is undoubtedly an expression of intolerance incompatible with coexistence in a democracy."Updated Date: 22 September 2021, 10:55
