The Queen Margarita II of Denmark will design the scenery and costumes of 'Ehrengard', film directed by his compatriot Bille August on the Sammonimo Story of Karen Blixen and will premiere the Netflix platform.
The Danish monarch, who already made stage in the past for various adaptations to the work of Hans Christian Andersen, will now take care of another of the most universal Danish firms, the author among others of 'Africa's memories'.
'Ehrengard', published postumously after the death of Blixen (1885-1962), tells the story of the young Posotte, who in the kingdom of Babenhausen is hired by a marquise to help her the heir rises to the throne. Netflix has reported that it plans to release the film by 2023.
The artistic facet of Margarita has been known for decades, and includes the design of decorated and wardrobes for ballets, plays and films, such as 'The Queen of Las Nieves' (2000) or 'The Wild Swans' (2009), both Based on Andersen stories.
