The Roscones of Reyes stuffed with Nata of El Corte Inglés, Eroski, Dia, Carrefour and Lidl are as the best that can be acquired in supermarket chains, according to the study carried out by the organization of consumers and users (OCU).
Specifically, the Spaniards consume around 30 million Roscones of kings every year on these dates. The consumer organization has analyzed this year of these filled products this year with Nata, which are on sale in supermarket chains.
In this way, the OCU has highlighted the Nata Roscon of El Corte Inglés as the best, with a good quality and a score of 63; Followed by Eroski, with average quality and 58 points: from day (mean quality and 57 points); Carrefour (average quality and 51 points) and LIDL (average quality and 50 points).
In the opinion of the OCU, the best analyzed is that of El Corte Inglés (17.59 euros per kilogram), which is characterized by the quality of the filling and a good decoration. However, if saving is prioritized, the option is the LIDL roster (6.65 euros per kilogram), which offers acceptable tasting at a very low price.
In its analysis, the OCU detects "unfortunately" an excessive presence of additives on all roscones: 15 on average, between dyes, preservatives, emulsifiers and texture agents, as well as all kinds of aromas.
Among the roscones stuffed with cream, the OCU recommends avoiding those that are elaborated with vegetable fats instead of cream and always consuming them with moderation: they are products rich in fat (18%) and sugar (another 18%).
