The government will give 10.5 million to the Canary Islands to buy housing of Realojo for those affected by the volcano

The government begins to shape the aid promised to the palm after the eruption of the volcano. This Tuesday, the Council of Ministers plans to promote the first aid, among which a heading of 10.5 million is included to finance the purchase of homes and apparens of first necessity for them, co-financing their acquisition.

The measure that is on the Bureau aims to direct concession to the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands of a grant to finance the acquisition, by itself or through its organs or dependent entities, of 107 homes in the private market, on the island of the palm, to destine them to accommodation, with a temporary or definitive character, of families affected with the loss or damage of their habitual house, as collected in the proposal elevated to the Council of Ministers by the Ministries of Social Rights and Agenda 2030 and Transport, mobility and urban agenda.

Families who can choose these buildings are those affected with the loss or damage that impossible for the enjoyment of their habitual home as a result of volcanic eruption, either temporary or definitive. The plaintiffs should justify having suffered serious damage in their home, when it was their usual and permanent domicile, regardless of whether its occupation was in the property, usufruct or lease.

The control of housing to acquire will correspond to the Government of the Canary Islands, which should elevate the Ministry of Transport a certificate with the relationship of these, which expressly declares the suitability of the housing for the acquired purpose.

The homes to acquire may be public or private ownership, and must be in "conditions of being employed immediately by affected families, or within a period compatible with the urgency of the need to cover", according to the text, and will comply with the regulations of a state, autonomous or local nature that was out of application.

Likewise, this subsidy is intended for families affected by the consequences of the eruption of the volcano, have public resources for the acquisition of first necessity, according to the proposal that has reached the Board of the Council of Ministers.
