The authorities shared that the Special Victims Unit and the Technical Assistance Response Unit of the Police Department were dealing with the matter. They contacted the chain to start an investigation and find out "how the image appeared and where came." In addition, they indicated that the aforementioned workers were "cooperating fully in the attempt to determine what happened."

The statement indicates: "The incident generated numerous calls from citizens worried in the city and in the county. At this time, research is still underway and no guilty of any kind has been determined."

Some users on social networks have remembered a similar case that had happened in 2012 in another American television, WDBJ, in the state of Virginia and also affiliated with CBS.
