The singer-songwriter Pau Riba, aged 73, has announced in his social networks that he suffers from pancreas cancer and that the tumor can not be extirpated.
The artist explains that after six months of intense discomfort and after an erroneous diagnosis of psychosomatic pain by his headboard, in October he was finally hospitalized with a diagnosis of pancreatic cancer.
Riba, born in Palma de Mallorca in 1948 but who has developed a good part of his long career in Catalonia, says that the tumor can not be extirpated because, as it is, it is already late.
He has begun to make chemotherapy and, thanks to the help of many friends, he says, he has managed to start a hyperthermia treatment "and vitamin C chutes at high doses" at the Institut Khuab of Barcelona who have them "well hopeful".
"What I made me more was that I was cured with sound frequencies, but now it is not possible," says the singer, who says that, no matter how much eat and follow "scrupulous dietary guidelines," he loses a couple of kilos every week.
"So and everything is being much more bearable and possible thanks to the help received so far," says Riba, who thanked his friends with the support they are lending him "to get this to stop being extreme darkness".
Transgressor and iconoclastic, Pau Riba is a benchmark of the alternative culture. He started his race in the 60s and is one of the most recognized voices of music in Catalan, with thirty discs, although he has also published a fortnight of books, including some poemarios.
His album Dioptria, published in 1970, was considered the best album in Catalan of the twentieth century by the musical magazine Enderrock.
Riba has five children and currently lives in Tiana, in the Barcelona del Maress region.Date Of Update: 08 December 2021, 06:31
