The father of Yéremi Vargas, J.F. Vargas, has been arrested at dawn Monday by a supposed sexual assault on the daughter of him of 13 years. The detention occurred in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, after the complaint filed by the child itself before the National Police.
The detainee has spent this Tuesday at the disposal of the Court of Instruction 6 of Las Palmas. He has opted for not declaring and the judge has decreed the provisional freedom of him, as reported by the High Court of Justice of the Canaries. The Judge of Guard has imposed an order of remoteness regarding the daughter of him while research develops.
J.f. Vargas is the father of Yéremi Vargas, from which on March 10, 14 years of the disappearance of him were celebrated, in 2007, when he was seven years old. The boy was lost his track while playing in a distressing near the neighborhood family home, in Santa Lucia de Tirajana (Gran Canaria).
The facts remain unclear. After years of investigations by the Civil Guard, Antonio Ojeda, known as the Rubio, which last year ended a five-year sentence for sexual abuse to a nine-year-old child.
Towards him pointed some of the few data with which the researchers told. Among them, the characteristics of the suspected vehicle that was detected in the area on the day of the disappearance. The case judge considered that the signs against him were not sufficiently solid enough to move forward and in 2017 he filed the cause, a decision ratified by the audience of the palms.
Just two weeks ago, coinciding with the date (July 18) in which it would have been 22 years old, Yéremi's mother published an emotional letter addressed to her son who spread on social networks. She explained that it was a very sad day and that the family had not done something like that before because they had the hope that it would appear one day.
Ithaisa Suárez tells that he writes him "to heaven" because he knows that "here" he can never see him again. "I know that from where you are given the strength to follow but it has not been easy to accept it and continue without you, with great impotence, feeling bad for me to be alive and you do not."
