US Situates Spain in Risk Zone and recommends not traveling

There is no truce for Spanish tourism either this summer either. A week after Germany put our country in Risk Zone by Covid, USA also recommends not traveling for increasing contagions.

The US authorities, in an alert sent by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), have placed our country at the highest level of risk, 4. "Avoid traveling to Spain" , Collect the notice. They also warn travelers that if they are going to fly to Spain make sure they are completely vaccinated.

It is also included in this red zone by increase in contagions to other tourist destinations as is the case of Portugal.

It is another blow of national tourism, because in recent weeks some of our main tourist issuing markets, such as France or Germany, have also recommended not to visit Spain before the increase of contagions.

The German Government included Spain on Friday (also the islands) on its list of risk areas by Covid, although in the youngest of its three alert levels.

In any case, none of these countries have prohibited from traveling to Spain nor have they established restrictive measures such as a quarantine, so, although notices have a dissucession effect, the impact will be less. Last year by these dates United Kingdom and Germany had established quarantines around for citizens who had visited Spain.

Since a week ago British tourists who are vaccinated no longer have to quarantine upon their return.
