An attack with US unmanned aircraft in Kabul last month killed 10 civilians, including seven children, as a US high general recognized on Friday. "It was a mistake and I offer my most sincere apologies," said US General Frank McKenzie, head of the Central Command of the United States.

He added that he now believed that it was unlikely that the beaten vehicle or those who died were militants of the Islamic State or represent a direct threat to American forces at Kabul airport.
