WhatsApp will allow group administrators to delete chat messages

WhatsApp will allow group chat administrators to eliminate messages they consider appropriate regardless of who have sent them on Android devices.

This has been announced by Wabetainfo, which has indicated that the application is launching a new update through the Google Play beta program, which will give this control ability to managers from group chats.

Thanks to this new function, which belongs to whatsapp beta update for Android 2.22.1.7, administrators will be able to moderate and control the content that is shared in these groups, as well as deciding what they wish to maintain in them.

Each time you eliminate a message, all members of that group will receive a warning within the chat itself and will appear in the place where the message removed before was. This will indicate which administrator (in the case that several administrators appear in the group) has been in charge of deleting it.

The administrators of WHATSAPP groups will have to eliminate any message from these chats without the need for the rest of the participants to give it to proceed to delete.

For the time being, the date of implementation of this option is unknown, since from this portal it is not mentioned when this update will come to Android devices.

It should be noted that it is not the first time that this instant messaging application chooses to develop the removal functions of similar messages.

In 2017 introduced the possibility of permanently eliminating messages already sent and recently announced new options within temporary messages. Once activated, these disappear after seven days, 24 hours or 90 days.
