A load of sand for Poldi: "Thomalla has one on the waffle"

Actually, it all started with a doner kebab. But the current highlight is a load of 13 tons of uncultivated sand in front of Lukas Podolski's sports park in Bergheim - with kind regards from Sophia Thomalla. how could it get so far?

It is said that what loves teases one another. Now Sophia Thomalla and Lukas Podolski are not lovers, but they somehow seem to like each other. In any case, they are currently having a teasing exchange of blows, which their followers on social networks can also take part in.

The moderator recently left a pile of sand for the soccer professional, which he now urgently wants to get rid of, as his latest Instagram post proves. "13 tons of sand to sell cheaply. Please DM (personal message) to Sophia Thomalla," he wrote under a photo that shows him shoveling the sand. How did the unusual delivery come about? Well, it all started with a doner kebab.

When the footballer posted a photo of himself with a kebab from his own snack chain on Tuesday with the description "Back in Cologne. First a kebab", he had no idea that Sophia Thomalla would take this as an occasion for a joke. She promptly reacted to the photo with the comment: "I always thought kebab makes you more beautiful", and added a laughing emoji. The athlete didn't let that sit and replied: "Hahahaha ... You in Cologne? First aid is on the way ...!"

Only a short time later, the moderator actually held a kebab from the Poldi kebab chain in her hand, as she proved in a post. The soccer professional had sent her a load of food to the office of the start-up Schüttflix, where she was visiting at the time. Thomalla is not only a testimonial, but also a partner in the company. She wrote about her post: "The kebab man was there! Touché! 1: 1 for Lukas Podolski. That was a penalty without a goalkeeper." And she followed up: "Wait a minute, my friend, I'll return the favor later."

Thomalla's tit-for-tat promptly followed. 13 tons of sand landed in front of Lukas Podolski's sports park in Bergheim. "I thought playing sand could always be used as an athlete," joked the 32-year-old in an Instagram story in which the truck with the load can be seen.

Other stories show the unloading of the freight in front of the sports park. Finally, Thomalla appeared amused again with the doner kebab in hand and wrote: "But it was delicious. Thank you!"

"That happens when Sophia Thomalla thanks you for a kebab," commented the footballer in turn in a repost of Thomalla's Instagram story. However, Podolski took the teasing with humor. "The Thomalla has one on the waffle. It's not quite clean anymore," he joked about the sand delivery in his story. Like the doner kebab, the sand should also be put to good use: Podolski announced that he would donate the load to the city of Bergheim - for playgrounds or flood protection.
