Aer Lingus, an Irish airline, cancelled nine flights on Friday and one direct flight due to a rise in Covid-19 cases.
All return flights from Dublin to Amsterdam or Gatwick to Brussels, Brussels, and Birmingham were cancelled.
On Saturday, three additional return flights were cancelled.
One return flight from Bordeaux was also cancelled on Friday due to industrial action at Lyon and Bordeaux airports.
Two additional return flights from Lyon to the airline on Saturday were also cancelled by the airline.
Aer Lingus apologized and said that it was working to find alternative travel options for those affected.
A spokesperson for Aer Lingus stated that cancellations in June affected just over 1% of its flights.
"Aer Lingus anticipated the rise in demand for travel after Covid restrictions were lifted and put appropriate buffers in our plans to cope with any additional disruption.
"System pressures, ongoing problems at certain airports, and third-party suppliers have caused considerable operational challenges. These have been exacerbated by a significant increase in Covid cases in the recent days."
Three Aer Lingus flights were cancelled on Monday, thirteen on Sunday, and twelve on Wednesday, respectively, due to strikes in air traffic control in France, Italy, and Spain.
