After abortion verdict: Lily Allen dedicates "Fuck You" to the Supreme Court

Celebrities from all over the world are outraged by the abortion ruling in the USA - now also the British singer Lily Allen. There is no particular reason for an abortion. She, too, "just didn't want to have a damn baby."

After the US abortion ruling, many celebrities have opposed the Supreme Court's decision. The British singer Lily Allen has now again expressed criticism and indicated that apparently she too had an abortion.

"I wish people would stop posting examples of extraordinary reasons for having an abortion," Allen wrote in an Instagram story. "Most people I know, myself included, just didn't want a friggin' baby." And that's reason enough, emphasizes the singer. "We don't have to justify it." All this, according to her, should not have to be said. Everyone believes that the examples played into the hands of the "bad guys".

The US Supreme Court recently reversed the 50-year-old "Roe v. Wade" landmark decision, overturning a nationwide abortion law in the United States. The states now decide on the right to abortion and can also severely restrict it. Numerous citizens, including many celebrities, were appalled.

Allen recently shared the stage with Olivia Rodrigo at the Glastonbury Festival. The US singer said that she was "devastated" after the verdict and scared: "So many women and so many girls are going to die because of it." The duo dedicated Allen's song "Fuck You" to "the five members of the Supreme Court who showed us that at the end of the day, they really don't give a damn about freedom". Both declared: "We hate you!"
