After participating in "Let's Dance": Barbara Meier is again part of a dance show

In 2018, Barbara Meier made it to the final as a candidate for "Let's Dance". Now the model returns as a guest juror in a TV ballroom, but for Austrian television. On social media, the 36-year-old expresses her anticipation of the performance next Friday.

Barbara Meier won the second season of "Germany's next top model" in 2007. After that, the model appeared in other TV shows, including "Let's Dance." She once took third place on the RTL dance show. Now the 36-year-old is returning to the world of dance shows.

"After I was allowed to dance to the final of 'Let's Dance' in 2018, I'm finally returning to the ballroom on Friday," writes Meier in an Instagram post. "However, this time not as a dancer, but as a (guest) juror in the Austrian version 'Dancing Stars'!" She is very happy to be "enchanted" by ten wonderful dance couples at best. Dancing is and will always be a great passion of mine," explains the former "GNTM" winner.

In Austria, the TV station ORF 1 has been showing the dance show with celebrity-professional couples since 2005. The 15th season of "Dancing Stars" starts on March 3rd, which, like "Dancing with the Stars" (USA) or "Let's Dance" is a version of the BBC show "Strictly Come Dancing" which runs internationally under different titles. In addition to the “Dancing Stars” jurors Maria Angelini-Santner and Balázs Ekker, a weekly changing guest juror takes their place. At the start, Meier will sniff the air of the jury.

The model danced alongside Sergiu Luca in the eleventh season of "Let's Dance" in 2018. The dancing couple were initially eliminated in the fifth round, but then returned to the show as substitutes for injured contestant Jimi Blue Ochsenknecht and Renata Lusin, finishing in third place.

And how is it now appearing on Austrian TV? Barbara Meier, who lives in Vienna by choice, has been married to the Austrian entrepreneur Klemens Hallmann since June 2019. They made their relationship public in spring 2016, and the marriage proposal followed in May 2018. The couple have two daughters.

For the German dance celebrities, the second live show will start next Friday. RTL is currently showing the 16th season of "Let's Dance".
