Following a protest in Glasgow, two men and one woman will be tried.

Three men were charged in connection to a demonstration on Kenmure Street in Pollokshields on 13 May 2021.

After two Sikh men were taken into custody by the Home Office, crowds gathered to protest their alleged immigration violations.

In October, Olivia Jones (24 years old) and Kairos Pakleppa (33-year-old) will face charges.

Ms Jones is a woman from the Battlefield area of the city and accused of being abusive and threatening towards police.

She was charged with trying to obstruct two constables, struggling with them, and lying under a vehicle.

Ms. Jones is facing a third charge of repeatedly punching one of the officers, causing injury to her body, and a final accusation that she punched the other.

Muswell Hill, London: Mr Pakleppa is also charged for acting in a dangerous manner towards police, and trying to lie underneath a vehicle while it was being taken away.

According to one allegation, Mr. Sigsworth of York obstructed three constables, refused to get out a vehicle, and also made an alternate allegation regarding breach of peace.

All the defendants pled not guilty when the case was brought to Glasgow Sheriff Court.

Ms Jones, Mr Pakleppa, and Mr Sigsworth will be facing summary trials in October without a jury. Mr Sigsworth's case is scheduled for later in the month.

They are still being held on bail
