It's not the first time rap musician Mystikal has been accused of a sexual offense. He was convicted of rape in 2004 and spent six years in prison. Now the "Shake Ya Ass" interpreter is said to have become offensive again.

Rapper Mystikal was arrested in Louisiana over the weekend. This is reported by several US media unanimously. According to the Los Angeles Times and NBC News, he is accused of rape and false imprisonment, among other things. A police photo was also posted on Facebook.

The police spoke to a victim on Sunday night in connection with an alleged sexual assault. This was in the hospital after suffering minor injuries during the attack. Mystikal was later identified as a suspect.

The rapper, best known for the 2000 song "Shake Ya Ass," whose real name is Michael Tyler, was eventually arrested and sent to prison. This was confirmed by a police spokesman, according to "NBC News".

Mystikal was convicted of rape in 2004 and was subsequently imprisoned for six years. In 2017, he was again charged with sexual assault. He served an additional 18 months in prison before being released on $3 million bail. The charges were dropped in late 2020. However, the case could come up again in the course of the current investigation.

Representatives of the rapper have not yet responded to press inquiries, it is said. Since the investigation is ongoing, no further details are currently being published.

Mystikal started his rap career in the mid-90s and was particularly successful around the turn of the millennium in the USA. The future superstar Pharrell Williams also contributed to his song "Shake Ya Ass". A little later, however, Mystikal's career stalled.
