Alpes de Haute Provence. The Department will provide support to the territories up to 20 million

The new departmental solidarity agreements covering the period 2021-2023 were signed by the municipalities at the Vallee de l'Ubaye SerrePoncon community. They have been drawn up with local stakeholders in order to identify and determine which projects require priority financial support from the Department of Alpes-de-Haute-Provence.

The departmental council will provide support for the territories over the three-year period with almost 20 million euros.

The entire device is made up of four parts. The first component identifies the Department's main actions for the benefit of territories. It can be either its direct project management, its contributions to the statutory system, or the exercise its powers.

The second section combines the actions taken by the Department for municipalities within the framework fo Fodac's aid fund for municipalities. This component is worth more than six millions euros for the period 2021-2023.

Next is the heart of departmental contracts for territorial solidarity, which were signed on Thursday with Ubayan municipalities that are executing the project. It is worth nearly 13.7 million euro and revolves around four axes. They include sustainable development of territory, improving accessibility, support for shared projects serving territories, and attractiveness of territory. This sum is 1,354,200 euro for the CCVUSP municipalities and the community itself. It has been allocated to 53 operations.

The last section is the building plan for the departmental fire- and rescue service. It aims to extend, renovate or rebuild a portion of the 44 buildings that are used by the Sdis. Seven million euros is the multi-year contribution over ten years.

To ensure equity among the territories, each contract's financial envelope must respect the criteria of territorial representativeness. It should also take into consideration potential financial resources and demographic dynamics.
