A mother of Russian descent, aged 35, was stabbed to death in Nice (Alpes-Maritimes), Wednesday morning.

Nice-Matin indicates that her companion, a 52 year-old Russian woman, was arrested.

Christian Estrosi (the mayor of Nice), shared the information via social media. He indicated that the couple's 9 year-old daughter informed the police. He would have witnessed this tragedy.

In a tweet, the first magistrate reminded that domestic violence is a "real scourge" and must be protected in order to prevent tragedies from happening, protect victims, and strengthen sanctions.
