The Department of Ardeche will supervise the construction of the new Charmes-sur-Rhone bridge across the Rhone canal. As part of this work, the existing bridge, which has one lane managed via traffic lights, will be closed between Wednesday, June 15, and Friday, June 17, from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m.
It is indeed necessary to remove the temporary pipe that was installed at the beginning May on the sidewalk downstream of the bridge.
For users, information panels have been installed. The new bridge will allow for two-way traffic, and construction started last November. It should be finished in spring 2023.
