On Sunday, July 3, a dramatic accident took place on the Pont d'Arc beach, south of Ardeche. A 79-year old man was bathing in the Ardeche when the alert was sent.
The firefighters used significant search resources, including the nautical team and a helicopter from Civil Security of Lozere. They were also supported by Dragon 48, the Largentiere company's gendarmes, as well as a helicopter from Civil Security of Lozere. Unfortunately, the septuagenarian was found dead at 5 p.m. The victim is not a resident of Ardeche. An investigation was opened.
