Arizona Diamondbacks, losers of 18 Directly on the road, nearing Historical MLB low in 2021

On April 25, the Arizona Diamondbacks' Madison Bumgarner didn't allow a hit in seven innings, prompting a spirited debate about whether or not MLB should count it as an official no-hitter.

Now people are just wondering when Arizona will win another road game.

The Diamondbacks' 5-2 loss to the Oakland Athletics on Tuesday night was the team's 18th straight loss on the road since Bumgarner's"no-hitter."

It is the longest streak of consecutive losses since the 1985 Pittsburgh Pirates fell 19 matches in a row away from home.

Arizona could match that skid with a loss to the Oakland Athletics on Wednesday.

The team plays in the San Diego Padres June 25-27 and at the St. Louis Cardinals from June 28-30.
