Nature invites us to witness the rising of the super full moons in 2022 on Tuesday, June 14. Although it is not a rare phenomenon, the moon appearing larger than normal to the naked eye can still be quite spectacular. This happens when the moon is closest to the earth. At the peak of the event, the difference in size is 7.5%. Sunrise on the southeast (the side where sun rises) will occur at 10 p.m. in the mountains. It may be earlier in the valley (depending on your altitude and the altitude of the mountains ahead). July 13th will see the next super full moon. To see new moons, we'll have to wait till August 2023. Stellarium is a simple and free application that allows you to position yourself relative to the stars.
